All the crazy shit going on in the European Union right now is making the United States look good for a change.

The big religious wars between Christians, Jews, and Muslims if not addressed will ultimately destroy the entire region.  And those calling themselves Christians in this conflict have obviously never bothered or read the Bible or they would know what the Greatest Commandment as related by Jesus himself is:

Matthew 22:35-40 King James Version (KJV)

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. (it does not say, "except Muslims" here)

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The Jews aren't apologetic to anyone.  As near as I can tell they believe it is their God given right to take anything they want from anybody by any means necessary including theft, force, and murder.

And how are EU governments handling it?  Mostly by taking away freedoms, such as free speech, the right to free assembly, from everyone rather than targeting the people causing all this hate and discontent.  I think they go beyond not trying to stop it to actually encouraging it because it gives them an excuse to further clamp down and exert more power over their constituents.

And then there is the EU's attempt to tear down the Internet.  First, the GDPR, a law that is incomprehensible to mere human beings, and even a lawyer attempting to explain it in readable English required 100 separate talking points just to scratch the surface.

The law is seriously flawed and will only destroy the functionality of the Internet, increase the expenses to consumers, and isolate the EU from the rest of the world which, right now given the spreading and ever increasing insanity there, might just be a good thing.  Then it is impossible to implement in many areas, for example, I've got a game site with much old flash game software.  The source code is not available so I have no idea what information they collect and how they might use it.  It is available free for anyone to play.

The development of things like these free flash apps and like the apps on Android and Iphone devices, are based upon a model of offer a free service, collect information, and do something with it.  99% of the time that something is target marketing to a user.  The GDPR will make this kind of funding illegal and so all of these apps that people are getting free now will either disappear altogether or be available at cost.

Next month the EU is going to push through laws requiring mandatory upload filtering and introducing a link tax, which is kind of the central point of HTML, the easy ability to link.  This is beyond stupid and as a US provider there is no way I am going to pay a link tax or allow the EU to filter what people can upload, so I'll just be turning off access to EU, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

There are some truly evil people in Brussels running the show trying to crack down on their population and to exert their control over the world, they need to be outed.

Perhaps it's best that the EU portion of the Internet be isolated from the rest of the world so the madness taking place there does not spread.
